I've written posts in the past with reviews of campgrounds and have several campgrounds I'm going to be reviewing shortly.  In the recent past, I've had several friends ask about affordable vacations for them and their families.  So, this post will have information in it regarding camping with a camper, tent or renting a cabin at a campground; some of the costs associated with camp grounds; and the overall experience.

beachThis is a Hi Tide Campground review.  Hi Tide loses points for it's owner that likes to sneak up on campers and yell at people on the lake!  While there is something for everyone, the way the owner treats campers will make us not want to go back.

Lake Rudolph Campground is located in Santa Clause, Indiana. This campground has a great deal to offer families of younger children. If your children are around 4 to 12 years old, you will enjoy all the Lake Rudolph and Holiday World have to offer.

Autumn Lakes Family Campground in Sunbury, Ohio was a new trip for us in the summer of 2013.  The Campground is about 7.5 to 8 hours from the Chicago area so we scheduled a couple extra days out there.

camper-4My family goes camping with a few of our friends and all of our kids several times each summer. Our first trip this summer was to the Yogi Bear Campground in Millbrook, Illinois. My first impression from the street was that it was going to be a very small and average campground (even the enterance sign was hidden behind trees so you could miss it easily). But I have to say that I was pleasently surprised by how nice and family orientated this campground is.

Double JJ RV Park in rothsbury, Michigan  is a staple in our summer camping planning for the past couple years.  Being as this campground/ranch is about 5 and a half hours from our house, we plan extra days to enjoy the trip to it's fullest. The past couple years we've gone for 5 nights/6 days.
